Speaker Bio

Bourby Webster began her career in music studying at Oxford University and the Royal College of Music in London. After completing an MBA at the University of Western Australia she combined her love of performance music and business to establish the Perth Symphony Orchestra in 2011. This was closely followed in 2013 by the founding of the Perth Chamber Orchestra. Bourby started the business as a way to extend her love of music across the state, with the orchestras also connecting hundreds of talented local musicians with world-class opportunities. Since it's inception, the Perth Symphony Orchestra has played sold-out performances across Western Australia.

In 2014 Bourby was recognised in WA Business News' 40 Under 40 awards for young entrepreneurs. In addition to her remarkable work with the Perth Symphony Orchestra, Bourby also lectures at the WA Academy of Performing Arts, performs in a rock string quartet, and plays viola with the Perth Symphony Orchestra as much as possible.
