Guest Speaker: Director of Aboriginal Health, Cheryl Smith from North Metro Health Service.
Presenting: Aboriginal resilience in contemporary Australian society
Cheryl is a Ballardong/Koreng/Minang woman with extensive family and community connections within the metropolitan area and throughout WA.
Cheryl is a 2017 graduate of the Australian New Zealand School Of Government (ANZSOG) graduating with an Executive Masters of Public Administration and a graduate of Curtin School of Business, graduating with a Masters of Business Leadership. Cheryl began her career in Aboriginal education, then transitioning into Aboriginal health firstly within the not- for-profit community sector before commencing with the Department of Health in 2008.
Since this time Cheryl has been active in leading Aboriginal Health strategy across the NMHS region and believes the areas of Aboriginal workforce, collaborative relationships and comprehensive community engagement are three priority areas to further transform Aboriginal Health.

Donations:
In recognition of the Western Australian Bushfires - All donations collected through the Add-ons of the Summit tickets will be donated to the Rotary Bushfire Appeal to help them support those who are affected by the devastation. The donations will be pooled and sent under the name of Rotary of Elizabeth Quay. Individual donation receipts cannot be issued through EventBrite.
Attending remotely:
There is a Google Meet link on the Online event page (visible after you have registered). We encourage you to have a webcam and microphone so that you can interact with the meeting. Best to keep your microphone and audio-output device away from each other to avoid a feedback loop. Beware of having multiple devices connected and running on your internet service during the meeting, as it may cause connectivity problems.
